Getting Here

Barnsley is centrally located, half way between Sheffield and Leeds. Manchester is to the west, across the Peak District national park, and Doncaster is to the east of the borough.

See the location of Barnsley on Google Maps.

Visit Barnsley Council’s website here for how to get to Barnsley.

Travelling by public transport

There are no direct trains from London or Manchester to Barnsley, most connecting trains go via Sheffield (from the south and east), Huddersfield (from the west) or Leeds (from the north).

Barnsley is a stop on National Express Coach services.

Barnsley Interchange (Eldon St N, Barnsley S70 1SE), is the hub for all incoming and outgoing trains, buses and national coaches. It is very close to the main conference venues, Barnsley Civic and Parkway Cinema. All conference venues are within a 5 minute proximity of the interchange.

If you are travelling in by car each day for the conference, please note that the main venues (Barnsley Civic and Parkway Cinema) do not have car parks on sites.

Payments can be made via the  RingGo app, or with cash or card at the pay machines. The cost for a day ticket is £6-9 per day depending on the designated bay and car park.

You can find out about all the town centre car parks, on-street parking and charges, here.

Blue Badge Holders
