Connecting creativity, culture and health

Black History Month 2025 Callout

To celebrate Black History Month this year, London Arts and Health and The Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance will commission six artists to explore and showcase their creative practices. This initiative is rooted in the belief that the arts can be a powerful force in health, climate justice, and cultural empowerment.

A new Equity Action Plan for CHWA

This Equity Action Plan outlines our commitment to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) into all aspects of our work, both internally within our organisation, throughout the work that we do with our members, and externally across the creative health sector.

Creative planetary health

Climate justice and health equity are urgent, intersecting issues. Here we explore how creative health practice contributes to planetary health.

Creative Health Quality Framework

The Creative Health Quality Framework is a ground-breaking tool that clearly articulates what “good” looks like for creative and cultural initiatives that aim to support people’s health and wellbeing.

Working Together: CHWA & GEM

The Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance and GEM are collaborating for two years on the Working Together project to embed health and wellbeing work in museum and heritage settings.

The LENs

The LENs is a critical friend to CHWA, a network devoted to ensuring the voice of lived experience is central to policy and practice.

The Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance is a national membership organisation representing everyone who believes that creativity and cultural engagement can transform our health and wellbeing. Join us here.
