Call Out for ‘The Compelling Case for Creative Ageing’ Examples!

Farrell Renowden, Cultural Development Consultant, and former Director of both the Age of Creativity and CADA- Creative Ageing: Development & Agency, is compiling a new resource, aimed at supporting the Creative Ageing sector to make the case for our work. 

The Compelling Case for Creative Ageing…and the role of ageism will launch in Autumn 2025 and your help is needed to compile the most compelling examples of research, practice and lived experience from across the UK, and the wider world. 

Themes of particular interest are Creative Ageing and… 

1. Community Connectedness 

2. Cultural Contributions

3. Physical Health 

4. Mental Wellbeing 

5. Lifelong Learning 6. Employment and Skills 

7. Volunteering and Civic Contribution 

8. Intergenerational Exchange 

9. Reframing Ageing 

10. Self Reflection and Purpose 

Contributions may be in a traditional document format, but there is also room for blogs, recordings- creative content of all shapes and sizes. All contributions will be clearly attributed in the resource and will feature in a directory of further reading for everyone to access. Therefore, please ensure that all contributions are free to access (not behind a pay wall) and all those involved in the development of the work consent to it being used for the wider development of the Creative Ageing sector. 

Although all contributions are of interest, those examples developed since Covid-19 lockdowns are of particular interest.
